This item is a vintage 1950s or 1960s wicker box purse designed by Faye Mell Rosen for her Miami-based label, "Faye Mell Designs by Fleurette, Inc.
Design Overview: 
* Woven Structure: The handbag features a sturdy, woven hard-wicker or rattan box chassis typical of Mid-Century statement bags. 
* Scenic Tapestry: The front features an intricate Fragonard-style romantic courtly love tapestry scene, framed with a decorative gold soutache metallic trim.
* Jeweled Embellishments: The figures' garments and the surrounding landscape are heavily accented with applied beads, sequins, and dimensional rhinestones. 
* Hardware & Handle: It comes completed with polished gold-tone hardware, a secure top clasp, and a classic marbled tortoiseshell lucite top handle.
There is a turn lock at the top of the purse to open and close the purse. Inside it has three compartments: Two large compartments with one zipper pocket in between the two. There is also one open pocket on the side, which has the maker labels stitched onto it. The top label reads "Hand Made in British Hong Kong", and the bottom label reads "Exclusive Faye Mell Design Fleurette, Inc. Miami, FLA."
