Beautiful vintage Frankoma Pottery Christmas collector plate from 1969 titled “Laid in a Manger.” The plate features a raised relief Nativity scene depicting Mary laying baby Jesus in the manger, surrounded by a lamb and cow.
 
Finished in a soft creamy white glaze with Frankoma’s signature red clay visible along the underside rim. The back is marked “FRANKOMA © J.F. 1969” and bears the signature of Frankoma founder and designer John Frank.
 
This was the fifth plate in Frankoma’s annual Christmas series and makes a wonderful piece for a vintage Christmas collection, Frankoma collection, or holiday wall display
