A set of 12 antique Indian miniature animal figurines, made in the Nirmal village and carved of Ponki Chekka wood, and hand-painted: horse, elephant, rhinoceros, cow, camel,  tiger, etc. Each about 1.25" high by 1.25" long by .5" wide. Early to mid-20th-century.
