Beautiful Cocodrie Press glass Christmas ornament featuring an intricate religious image based on a 12th-century Byzantine icon. Unlike a traditionally painted ornament, the detailed image was painstakingly painted from the inside of the glass, using a small curved brush inserted through the ornament opening. Rich shades of red, blue, green and gold create an icon-like depiction of the Madonna and Child.
